Katja Kobolt

(PhD) works on junctures of art, writing and teaching. In her individual and collective practice Katja has been focusing on breaking the impossibilities and building up structures, mainly by introducing different methods of work and display (with-in art and beyond) for generating new modes of sociability. Katja has (co)conceptualized and (co)produced numerous art events and exhibitions (City of Women Festival Ljubljana, 54th October Salon Belgrade and Living Archive editions as well as Symposia with Red Mined, Cross Border Experience, etc.). Katja has been active in a feminist curatorial platform Red Mined as well as within a city of Munich art space/collective Lothringer13 Florida and DER FAHRENDE RAUM, space of action for art educational and artistic activity Munich. She teaches and writes on art, life and feminism.


(PhD) arbeitet als Kuratorin, Kunstvermittlerin, Autorin, Dozentin sowie Produzentin. Katja konzipierte und organisierte zahlreiche Kunstausstellungen und –Veranstaltungen Europaweit, arbeitete als künstlerische und Geschäftsleitung des City of Women Festivals Ljubljana und ist aktiv im transnationalen feministischen kuratorischen Kollektiv Red Mined sowie im Kunstraum der Landeshauptstadt München Lothringer13_Florida und DER FAHRENDE RAUM, Aktionsraum und Kunstprojekt in München. Katja co-konzipierte, co-kuratierte oder co-produzierte u.a.: Living Archive und 54. October Salon, A Space Called Public von Elmgreen & Dragset, GUESTures von Margareta Kern, Cross Border  Experience, Natural Relations und Humour Works, Warmarkt Inc., etc. Katja promovierte an der LMU Universität München (Frauenschreiben Geschichte(n): Krieg, Geschlecht und Erinnern im ehemaligen Jugoslawien, 2009), lehrt (u.a. HU zu Berlin) und schreibt über Kunst, Literatur, Leben und Feminismus: u.a. Performative Gestures Political Moves, No One Belongs Here MoreThanYou, The Living Archive: Curating Feminist Knowledge, GUESTures etc.


(PhD) je feministična kuratorka, producentka in predavateljica. Katja je dolga leta sodelovala s festivalom Mesto žensk Ljubljana, katerega je 2007-2008 skupaj z Dunjo Kukovec tudi vodila. Trenutno je dejavna v  Lothringer13 Florida in DER FAHRENDE RAUM München, pa tudi v feminističnem kuratorskem kolektivu Red Mined (Living Archive edicije, 54. Oktobrski Salon Beograd, Simpozij). Katja je sodelovala tudi pri naslednjih projektih: A Space Called Public Elmgreen & Dragset, GOSTIkulacije Margarete Kern, Cross Border Experience, Natural Relations, Humour Works, Warmarkt Inc. itd. Katja je dejavna je tudi kot predavateljica (Univerza Humboldt, Berlin), urednica, piska (No One Belongs Here More Than You / The Living Archive: Curating Feminist Knowledge; Performative Gestures Political Moves, GUESTures idr.).
