Alice Creischer
born 1960, lives in Berlin. Studied Philosophy and Germanistik
at the Universität Düsseldorf and Freie Kunst at
the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
From 1997 to 98 guestprofessor at the Kunstakademie München.
Exhibitions in Hannover (2000), Graz (1999) and Vienna (1998,
2000, 2001).
Alice Creischer and Andreas Siekmann organized together with Birger Huebel, Michaela Odinius and Dierk Schmidt "Messe 2ok" / ÖkonoMiese machen", a fair for political initiatives and art-groups, which was taking place as a parrallel action to the Art Cologne 1995 in Cologne. They participated in the 90s in numerous group-projects, f.i. Microstudio surplus, Berlin 1996, "Park fiction", Hamburg 1996 und produced in changing contexts plasticine animation films. In 2002 they curated as guest-curators of Generali Foundation in Vienna the exhibition "Violence is the Margin of all Things, Subject Relations, Political Militancy / and Artistic Procedures" and published texts in Springerin, ANYP and Texte zur Kunst.
