In the last few decades, violence against women* has been escalating into a "war on women," as Rita Laura Segato calls it: all kinds of structural and sexual violence, including feminicide, brutal discursive tendencies of misogyny and transphobia, the devaluation of care and reproduction, and "anti-genderism". Since 2017, a movement has spread outwards from Latin America that builds on the 8th of March, the day of women's struggle, as the turning and boiling point of an intersectional and transversal struggle.

The philosopher Gilles Deleuze states: “there are images of thought that impede us from thinking.” That is, we have images of what it means to think (a force of will, an academic work) that block thought. Could we also say that there are “images of change” that impede us from changing? Images of what change is supposed to be (in this case, social or political) that block the practice of change itself.

Es gibt Foucault noch nicht – so der Hinweis von Werkbiograph und Historiker Philipp Sarasin auf die Tatsache, dass noch nicht alles von Foucault publiziert worden ist. So fehlen in der deutschen Übersetzung noch zwei weitere Vorlesungsreihen am Collège de France, im Französischen ist das Werk seit diesem Frühjahr erstmals vollständig verfügbar. Schon die jüngsten Übersetzungen zur Strafgesellschaft und der Regierung der Lebenden eröffnen neue Facetten und Zusammenhänge, aber auch neue Begrifflichkeiten.
Gemessen an den beiden Symposien in Zürich und Wien in diesem Jahr fällt nicht primär ins Auge, dass es «Foucault noch nicht», sondern vielmehr, dass es längst verschiedene Foucaults gibt.
